Public Figures — Public Service (2-Nov-2009)

Public Figures
I go for people who cultivate their minds over their looks.
Even if they want to keep a low profile
or they want to drift away from the spotlight,
their lives are closely watched.
Taking interest in their lives.
Like organisms under a microscope.
Always under scrutiny.
Watching their every move.
Waiting for them to crumble.

Public Service
Solidarity with the poor.
Human dignity.
Preferential option for the poor.
Such social doctrines.
Trite – we are losing their meaning.
Stop looking at other people.
Stop asking them what they can do (platforms).
‘Cause have you looked at yourself?
Have you asked yourself what you can contribute?
